Here's your chance to own a beautiful piece of authentic Peruvian art! The painting in oil over canvass is the classic representation of the
Virgin Mary from the XVII century "Painting school of Cuzco," a unique art form that mixed Spanish baroque with Andean motives in the Spanish
colony of Peru. The Cuzco school represented always the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus with the human beauty of Spanish noble people, but also with the celestial dignity expressed in the intricate golden embroidery of their dresses. With the exception of only two painters, the tradition of
the Cuzco artisans was not to sign their paintings and thus remain anonymous. This contemporary original painting brought from Peru, in keeping with that tradition, has not been signed by its author.
