Holder's Miss Blackbird 3628

The sire of lot 103, "Vibration" is a full brother to "Changing Time", the Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the 2012 National Western Stock Show who is also a featured member of the 74-51 herd sire battery. "Vibration" has been in heavy service at 74-51 and PCC and we love his progeny. "Vibration" offers a "clubbier" phenotype when compared to his brother while maintaining the same soundness and eye appeal. He complements his flawless look with attractive numerical balance for all measurable traits. His dam, a past Junior National Champion, combined tremendous body, length of spine, and a perfect udder when in production.
The dam of this mating, Blackbird 3628, was our selection from the 2014 Denim and Diamonds sale and blends visual excellence with an easy maintaining look. Her impressive profile and extra stoutness lends to many breeding options while laying the foundation for profit generating potential. Her $20,000 dam was a many-time champion for the Holder family. The former $30,000 valued third dam of this mating, Blackbird 1262, was a featured donor for Limestone and Black Gold before she sold in the 2008 Limestone Sale for $16,000 while two maternal sibs to the grand-dam of lot 102 sold for $20,000 and $9,000 in that same sale. This prolific donor blended Precision with the former Dalton donor, Blackbird 833E who records a BR 3@97, a WR 3@110 and a YR 1@107 while posting an ultrasound REA ratio 9@104. Fifteen daughters of Blackbird 833E maintain a combined WR 43@103. Full sisters to the third dam of this mating include: Blackbird 3, the $13,000 selection of Dubas Cattle Company through the 2008 Dalton Sale; Blackbird 1258 selling to Lindell Angus through a past Daltons on the Sycamore Sale; and Blackbird 228, a foundation female in the Sundberg Farms program. Through the 2007 Limestone, LLC Sale, two heifer pregnancies from 1262 were selected by Turner Farms for $10,500 each while a daughter sold to NER Farms. In the 2007 Oklahoma Angus Gathering another heifer pregnancy from 1262 sold for $7,000. Other maternal sisters to the grand-dam of lot 102 include: Blackbird 5206, the selection of Herdland Angus through the 2006 Dalton Sale; and Blacbkird 4282, the selection of Seagraves Angus through the 2005 Dalton Sale.
