This handmade bench has a bit of AHS history built into it...literally. The solid, cherry benchtop is made from reclaimed portions of the school's second-floor library shelving units, which were disposed of two years ago to make room for the current middle- and high-school math department. The sturdy, metal base is made from reclaimed portions of the school's fencing previously surrounding the North parking lot. The oils, stains, paint, and finishing techniques are all designed to give this reclaimed bench the look and texture of a weather-tested antique. Many hours across many Saturdays went into creating this truly one-of-a-kind bench...you won't find another like it anywhere. It is 57 x17 x 14. Thank you for your generous donation teachers!
