DAY 1: Depart Johannesburg, Arrive Cape Town

Begin your cultural odyssey in Cape Town via Johannesburg. Check in at The Commodore Hotel, a 4-star Legacy Hotels & Resorts property located at the highest point on Cape Town's historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The hotel offers spectacular views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Granger Bay, Table Bay and Robben Island.

DAYS 2 through 4: Cape Town

Cape Town is dominated by a towering, table-shaped mounain, set on a peninsula of soaring, rocky heights and lush valleys, where two oceans converge - Indian and Atlantic. Enjoy free time to explore Cape Town on your own. Visit the famous Cape Peninsula, hike or take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain, explore Robben Island (site of Nelson Mandela's former prison cell) or meet locals in townships, churches and lively "shebeens".

DAY 5: Depart Cape Town, Arrive at Karongwe Private Game Reserve

Depart the Cape on a flight to Johannesburg with a connecting flight to Hoedspruit. Transfer to your lodge accommodations in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve, east of the Drakensberg Mountains n the Limpopo Province.

Check in at the Shiduli Private Game Lodge to an intimate guestroom with en-suite bathroom. Meals are included; delicious breakfasts and lunches feature fresh Pan African flavors and are served in the main building or on the deck. Dinner is a sump tuous candlelit affair. Guests can enjoy a lush
indigenous garden dappled in shade, lounges with internet access, bar, sparkling swimming pool and thatched dining areas punctuated with original South African art.

DAYS 6 & 7: Karongwe Private Game Reserve

Two full days in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve allow for morning and evening shared game drives conducted in open safari vehicles by experienced game rangers, and the opportunity to pass through the bush on escorted walks. Observe the wildlife while enjoying lavish comfort, traditional cuisine and local culture at your safari camp. The Karongwe Game Reserve borders Kruger National Park and encompasses 21,000 acres of African bushveld. Currently there are over 40 mammal species in the reserve, including the Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo.

DAY 8: Depart for Johannesburg

A final morning to enjoy breakfast before returning via air to Johannesburg, South Africa.*
