Custom, limited-edition Pewabic Blessed Solanus tile with exquisite detail is beautifully displayed in a 11" x 17" quarter-sawn oak frame with a door-like insert to cradle the curved tile. The frame was designed and handcrafted by Detroit-area Catholic woodworker Chris Henige of Hampstead Woodworks. The keepsake tile was blessed by the Capuchins friars. Each Pewabic tile is individually hand-pressed and glazed by Pewabic Pottery Detroit artisans and individually numbered.
Pewabic Pottery is a National Historic Landmark and was founded in Detroit, in 1903. Its historic Jefferson location is near the Solanus Casey Center. This framed tile would make a memorable addition to a home, parish, office or ministry and is a reminder that we, like Fr. Solanus, are to show the hospitality of God to all for we know not who we are welcoming.
* Item will be available for pickup at the Capuchin Offices by appointment. Arrangements can be made after Monday, October 5th. Delivery may be available for Metro Detroit area only - Deliveries in the Metro Detroit area will be made by a Capuchin Brother or staff person.
