Here we have an original perscription for whiskey written by a New York doctor in 1932. It is framed with an informational plaque which explains the process of how alcohol was obtained during the prohibition years. Despite the fact that the included certificate states that this is a duplicate, it is considered an original as carbon copy was used; One copy stayed with the pharmacist and the other was sent to the US Treasury.
The prescription is framed in gray suede and measures 14 by 16 inches.
