Guillermo Silva Santamaria (7 June 1921 - 29 June 2007) was a Colombian painter, printmaker and Surrealist. While a teenager, he went to Paris to study with Pierre Daguet. As a matter of local interest for Missourians, he took a printmaking course at Washington University, St. Louis, in 1957. By that time he was already an established artist. His early works were in the Impressionist style but his continued studies and experiences resulted in him working a number of styles and media. Silva was at the Ecole Nationale Superieure in Paris part of 1976. This framed print is 11" x 14". Might need reframed at buyer discretion. Thank you Bill and Harriet Yelon!
