"Before I found Fellowship Housing; I was a Single Mom to two Beautiful Children. I felt alone. I knew that where I lived wasn't where I was meant to be.

I was trying to brave the Wilderness on my own; with the survival skills in my toolbox; wearing myself thin, trying to do everything on my own; but yet still looking forward. Thanks to GOD, I know that is simply HOPE.

During my time in Fellowship Housing; I heard the phrase, "We are just here to walk alongside YOU." I had never heard this phrasing before; but somehow my heart knew what that meant: In the wilderness, there is YOU in the Center, Your heart for God; and we are the vines and the branches!!! I'm remembering an old saying from my Grandmother's church as a child... "Honey, you just keep on being yo' sweet self. Praise Him Anyhow.."

I'm an Artist who's always been one, just didn't know. Always reading self-help books. Now I know, as I look at the beautiful family and life I've created amidst the chaos of this world...God's got ME no matter what!!!

And Fellowship was just what I needed ; when I needed it.

I got the tools and resources I needed very quickly; through their arduous process; I learned discipline. Tenacity. How to find my very OWN faith community! they made me aware of Who I was, reminded me of Who God IS, and at the end of my journey, I felt RIDICULOUSLY EMPOWERED.
