A once in a lifetime dining experience showcasing several 2005 Bordeaux (one of the best vintage since World War II) paired with seven courses of exquisite French food prepared by celebrated chef Joe Alvis in the Wine Room at Papa Joe's Restaurant. Dr. Daryl Spansky, an expert in the wines of Bordeaux, will guide you through each course's wine pairings. The wines come from the cellar of Duane and Earline Roe.
Course One: Multiple Appetizers and Cold Water Lobster Tail with Parisian cheeses & Taittenger Comtes de Champagne. Course Two: Citrus Cured Salmon with Avocado Puree and Caviar & Carbonneux Blanc. Course Three: Roasted Beet Carpaccio & 2005 Chateau Saint Pierre Rouge. Course Four: Fois Gras au Torchon & Smith Haut Lafitte Rouge. Course Five: Roast Duck Breast & Chateau Pontet-Canet. Course Six: Grilled and Smoked Prime Top Sirloin & Chateau Bahans Haute Brion. Course Seven: Chocolate Grenache Tart with Frosted Concord Grapes & 1983 Taylor-Fladgate Vintage Port.
