Croft Vintage Port 1963 (1 bottle)

Croft Vintage Port 1977 (1 bottle)

Douro Valley, Portugal

Founded in 1588, Croft represents the oldest active Port house and maintains a reputation for excellent Vintage Ports, as well as a range of wood-aged reserves and tawnies. The 1963 vintage has a well-defined nose with flavors of orange zest, old roses, cigar box, and a hint of licorice. Wine Spectator noted of the 1963 that the Port "has great elegance and harmony, and should continue to improve for many years." The 1977 vintage contains notes of brambly red-berried fruit, ginger, and honey. With a palate that is sweet and ripe, as well as rounded in texture, the 1977 has aged beautifully.

Generously contributed by Mr. and Mrs. David Trevvett
