The Time is Ripe for Margaux
Château Margaux 2003 (1 jeroboam, signed)
Margaux, Bordeaux
The process of growing and harvesting grapes is not an easy one. Winemakers have spent entire careers developing a vineyard's procedures, particularly when it comes to picking grapes in their state of perfect ripeness. Château Margaux states that "to enable a grape to ripen well is to ensure that its components, that is to say sugar, acidity, aromas, and tannins, evolve together at the same pace." The summer of 2003 yielded grapes with a remarkably balanced ripeness, thanks to the terrior and expert winemaking team at Margaux.
With a near-perfect rating from Robert Parker, this Château Margaux 2003 is praised for its "velvety texture, and notes of spring flowers interwoven with camphor, melted licorice, crème de cassis, and pain grille." This First Growth embraces a full body without sacrificing any freshness. Our generous Honored Guest at Wine Auction 2018 offers you a five-liter of the vintage directly from the Château-signed by the owner, Corinne Mentzelopoulos, herself!
