This is a charming Doll House Cottage, circa 1920, found in the Midwest. Its exterior surface consists of a process called " Pebble Dash," made popular in England, Wales and Scotland and brought to America in early 20th Century. Its many rooms feature hand-painted rugs on the floors and hand-painted walls. The lighting is wonderful, rare period salesmen samples, with original painted surfaces, which are extremely rare now, in full size, because so many were painted over, or discarded when fashions changed. It has a wonderful ballroom on the top floor, with a band stand and painted cloud ceilings. The roof is entirely stained glass and was originally lit up. All the interior and exterior lights originally worked. Home also comes complete with a two-story porch. The house will disassemble for ease of moving or storage. Winning bidder can pick up the doll house at Landmark Bank in Franklin where it has been on display.
