"Gillispie Botanical Prints"
The 5th Grade classes drew inspiration from our very own Gillispie gardens. The students went on a nature walk to the sustainable garden and each child selected a leaf or a flower from the garden. They then pressed their nature piece into clay to make a print. Each clay print was cut into different shapes that were then glazed with green glaze. Lavender, Nasturtium leaves, Passion Fruit tendrils, and geraniums are just a few examples of the Gillispie plants that were used to make this truly memorable Gillispie landscape piece.
Special thanks to Mrs. Walters for her extraordinary donation of time and talent!
