CATCH, founded by the late Hall of Famer Sparky Anderson, raises money through a series of special fund-raising events for items and services that help improve the quality of life for sick, injured and needy pediatric patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital.
CATCH funds are an important resource for Children's Hospital & Henry Ford Hospital where at least 75 percent of patients and families that CATCH assists are in the low and moderate income level.
Patients and families served by CATCH funds are more at-risk and more economically disadvantaged than the two hospitals' general population, and in most cases, fill a gap when no other source of funds are available.
Since its founding, CATCH has provided more than $6 million worth of assistance, and has grown its board-designated endowment fund to nearly $10 million. www.catchcharity.org
