This bronze replica of the "Horse Soldier" statue, as it is informally known by sculptor Douwe Blumberg, is offered. Inspired by the first publicly released images the world saw of American Special Forces soldiers riding horseback alongside Afghan militia forces, going into battle against a common evil, commemorates "Operation Task Force Dagger." The original Monument permanently sits watching over Ground Zero Memorial. The piece was fittingly named for the Latin motto of the U.S. Army Special Forces or Green Berets as they are known - "De Oppresso Liber" meaning "To Liberate the Oppressed". The limited edition of 120 of these incredible bronze statues sit on a custom wooden base, standing 18" tall x 18" x 10", individually numbered, and weigh 70 pounds.
