A New and Exciting LIVE Auction item: We have been delighted to hear from Lady Carnarvon this week and she has personally organized and donated tickets for 4 people to attend The Highclere Garden Party 2017 on Saturday, September 9, 2017. This year's theme is based on the 3rd Series of Downton Abbey which was set in the 1920's. There will be cocktails as well as traditional tea and scones. You can play croquet, learn to dance The Charleston, admire vintage cars, view behind the scenes, and enjoy seeing the costumes and liveries from The Real Downton Abbey! Jazz bands and traditional bands will be playing. All guests are asked to dress to be on set! Lady Carnarvon has also arranged for the 4 lucky Garden Party guests to stay the night before Friday, September 8, 2017 at a nearby hotel, The Vineyard. The Vineyard is owned by Sir Peter Michael and family. They also own the Peter Michael Winery in California and an impressive private art collection including the Judgement of Paris some of which hangs on the walls of the hotel. The hotel is a 5 Star Relais & Chateaux hotel located just 4 miles from Highclere Castle. The Vineyard has over 30,000 bottles of wine.
