Lenox often did not remain seated on his horse during his initial Therapeutic Riding sessions, preferring to try to dismount unexpectedly, and he relied on hearing Disney music to stay engaged. Thanks to his work with Jack, Lenox has gained focus and matured behaviorally. He now sits calmly on his horse without the aid of the "Tarzan" soundtrack, and he completes tasks with full focus while controlling Jack. Lenox consistently arrives at CKRH with a big smile ready to tackle any challenge.
Jack, a 16-year-old Morgan/Kentucky Mountain Horse-cross, joined CKRH in 2016 and has developed bonds with his riders that are rare to find. Jack provides movement that helps some riders lessen their loud vocalizations and his walk
facilitated the sensory input they need to organize their physical and mental process to learn riding skills. Jack is focused on his work, but Lenox is able to bring out his playful side.
