About the Artist: William Mangum's wildly successful 40-year career as an artist, designer, publisher, gallery owner and keynote speaker has taken him much farther than he could have ever imagined as a student at UNC-Greensboro, where he picked up watercolors for the first time. Since then, he has created over 3000 works of art focused on the natural beauty and cultural tradition of his beloved North Carolina. His colorful landscape and architectural paintings attract devoted collectors from both the private and corporate worlds, as well as shows and recognition from around the globe. Through various licensing agreements, his work has been used to create a variety of attractive gift items, bringing his work into even more homes and locales. Bill has also partnered with a number of corporate clients to enhance their brand with his uniquely Southern visual aesthetic. Working in his spacious Greensboro studio, he is appreciative of his good fortune and grateful for the opportunities it has afforded him. For years Bill has supported local charitable organizations and outreach programs benefiting the needy; to date, his popular holiday Honor Card project has raised $6.5 million on behalf of the homeless and indigent in the Tar Heel State.
