"Children's Garden" framed pastel painting by Kathy Tice Phillips. Painted at Cone Hospital Cancer Center Meditation Garden.

About the Artist: Kathy Tice Phillips is an artist who lives in Greensboro, NC . A graduate of UNC-CH with a BA in English, she worked for many years as a Commercial Artist in advertising, a Product Designer for Potpourri Press and Colonial Tin Works and a Licensed Artist in the giftware industry. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Green Hill Center for NC Art and has been an instructor at GTCC in Greensboro. Since 2006 she has devoted herself full time to fine art, working primarily in pastel. Kathy has studied with Elsie Popkin, Catherine Gill, Albert Handell, Margaret Dyer, William Hosner, Marc Hanson, Greg Biolchini, Marla Baggetta and Sue Lyon. She currently has a studio at Revolution Mill.
