"Northern Cardinal" by Laura Poss - Framed

About the Artist: Laura D. Poss is a watercolor artist with a passion for nature and the outdoors. Based in Greensboro, she is inspired by the diverse landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife in North Carolina. Laura is an avid birdwatcher, and she is especially known for her lifelike depictions of her favorite birds. The need to create has driven Laura since she was a small child, and led to the pursuit of a career in watercolor painting. Laura's style of painting is perhaps best described as realism leaning toward impressionism; she strives to use enough detail to give life and realism to her subjects, while still incorporating a loose style of watercolor that allows the paint to mix and flow on the paper. As a nationally published watercolor artist, Laura's paintings have been featured across the country both online and in print. Her sold works hang in countless homes and businesses in the Southeastern United States, and some have even gone as far as Australia, the United Kingdom, and China. Laura is a member of the American Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society, and has served on the Board of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina since 2012.
