About the Artist: Kristin Gibson graduated from ECU School of Art in 1990 with a BFA in Painting and Textiles. Kristin's career began in textiles, designing fabric collections, which continues to inform her strong sense of color and composition. Her ties to Greensboro include designing for both Culp and HealthTex. After a lifetime living and painting by the sea, a recent move and life change finds her contemplating new canvases, with walks in Duke Gardens, Umstead State Park, and also the Durham Farmer's Market. An alla prima painter, Kristin's confident brushwork and unique perspectives in her still life subjects capture the eye of collectors.
