"Reading Room with Camellias" Original Painting, Painted Books and Green Chair by Kristin Gibson.
Original 30x24 interior painting by Tyler White O'Brien artist, Kristin Gibson. The painting features a reading chair, the green children's chair inspired the painted books as to create a vignette with the painting.

About the Artist: Kristin Gibson graduated from ECU School of Art in 1990 with a BFA in Painting and Textiles. Kristin's career began in textiles, designing fabric collections, which continues to inform her strong sense of color and composition. Her ties to Greensboro include designing for both Culp and HealthTex. After a lifetime living and painting by the sea, a recent move and life change finds her contemplating new canvases, with walks in Duke Gardens, Umstead State Park, and also the Durham Farmer's Market. An alla prima painter, Kristin's confident brushwork and unique perspectives in her still life subjects capture the eye of collectors. These words from an admirer are more than she could hope for someone to find in her paintings: "Kristin's work has organic unity and a cohesive palette that yields many delights in a narrow range of colors. Her painting also does not give up all its secrets in the first look, it makes you wonder, also makes you think, 'wonder why I never saw such beauty in a simple arrangement of objects before?"
