Spend a day at Virtue Farm in Fennville, Michigan. Virtue Cider is a craft cider company founded in Fennville, Michigan in 2011 by former Brewmaster of Goose Island, Greg Hall. They produce European-style farmhouse ciders from freshly-pressed heirloom apples, then age them in oak barrels. They partner with local family farms by purchasing the highest quality apples for their cider. Get the full Virtue Cider Experience with their Chef Missy Corey. You and up to nine (9) friends will take a trip to Virtue Farms in the "Fruit Belt" of the Midwest. Your afternoon begins with a tour of Virtue Farms and cider making operations. Following your tour, you'll head to the tasting room where Chef Corey will prepare dinner paired with Virtue Ciders. You'll leave with a case of Virtue Cider and a greater understanding and appreciation for the craft of cider making.

Missy Corey is a Chicago native, growing up in the Hyde Park neighborhood. After entering into the restaurant scene in Chicago at Ambria, Missy decided to return to Maine (where she had gone to college) to work on a farm and learn hands-on where her food was coming from and how it was grown. After a few years in Maine, she returned to Chicago to continue on the path of "nose to tail", Chef Corey landed at Publican Quality Meats where she started as a butcher and eventually took over as Chef de Cuisine. Working with farmers on a daily bases encouraged her to take the farm/chef connection one step further. Currently, as Culinary Director for Virtue Farms, she hopes to cook, teach and eat in a way that encourages sustainable farm practices and food awareness.
