The Nashville Union Station and Train Shed were constructed in the 1890s as a major transfer station on the Louisville and Nashville and the Nashville, Chattanooga, and St. Louis lines. The station and train shed, after transferring ownership and purposes multiple times, sustained fire damage in 1996 and the train shed was eventually demolished between January and February 2001. The Tennessee Preservation Trust were gifted salvaged cast iron fixtures and wood truss members, which were re-crafted by Kris Nethercutt into the coffee table.
Winning bidder will arrange to pick up table at The Heritage Foundation after the event.
