Army, Navy & Air Corp re-enactor groups from both Allied and Axis forces: American, British, German, Canadian, Polish, Czech, Russian, Italian, and others will be represented. Stop and enjoy an Abbot and Costello skit or listen to the tunes of Frank Sinatra or other acts portrayed by nationally recognized professional impersonators. But, wait? There's More! With your special ticket, you can sit back in the Army hangar and enjoy a dinner from Black Angus Restaurant, cooked on-site Saturday evening. You will have the option to choose between a chicken or steak dinner. The dinner always sells out and is a festive affair. But, that's not all?Your ticket includes the Saturday evening hangar dance, complete with live big band music. Come dressed in 1940s attire and dance the Charleston, Lindy Hop and of course, Swing. This year's hangar dance features The Mark Michielsen Big Band Led by trombonist Mark Michielsen, the Big Band features 17 members who perform around the world. We have saved the best for last, during the Air Show one lucky member of your group will experience the thrill of a lifetime during a flight in an authentic WWII aircraft. One of our veteran pilots will soar with you over the rural countryside of Virginia Beach, the Intracoastal Waterway and the sand dunes of the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. Whether you are a history buff, an explorer or a photographer, we guarantee a breathtaking experience. You will be flying in an authentic 1941 Boeing Stearman! Ready your goggles, helmet and white flying scarf for a flight in the museum's 1941 Boeing Stearman PT-17 Kaydet. This open-cockpit flight is perfect for photographers who always wanted a bird's eye view of Virginia Beach. The winner has the option to split the prize and have different guests of their choice enjoy the Air Show, the Hangar dinner dance, and airplane flight. Your ride certificate is good for six months. It is transferrable but non-refundable.
