The Daniel H. Burnham Award for Distinguished Leadership was created by the Board of Directors of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce in 1992 to pay tribute to a prominent business leader who works tirelessly to advance the Chicagoland business climate while making significant civic contributions that make the region a better place to live and work. In the true spirit of Daniel Burnham's vision of "make no little plans," proceeds from this dinner benefit the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of the Chicagoland Chamber. Currently housing the Chicagoland Business Leadership Network (CBLN) and operating an internship program that pairs STEM students with small businesses, the Chamber Foundation exists to enhance the region's economic prosperity by funding workforce development initiatives and educational programs for companies of all sizes
