Framed original oil painting "Rhode Island Boys", one of only 50 original oils used in the book "Land of the Free, Gold Star Families Edition". The painting depicts young boys going fishing on the coastal waters as the Gold Star sister in the book remembers them. Framed size 21" x 25" painted by nationally represented artist and author Jane Chapin. A signed copy of the book is also included. The "Land of the Free" books are a 100% donation to veterans' charities.
Chapin's three year journey to paint in all fifty states resulted in two books and a connection between her art and the stories from military families from each state. Through her work, families have been able to honor their heroes and share them with readers of all ages while paying tribute to the places they called home. Her painting sales fund the printing of the books which are donated to selected military charities which benefit veterans and families of the fallen.

A nationally recognized artist, Chapin believes in plein air painting as an essential part of her ongoing development as a painter. Using a traditional approach, she paints studies on location, using them as reference material for her studio work. Jane's work has been exhibited in Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Salon International, American Women Artists and the Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction. Her plein air work has been accepted into juried shows from Easton, MD to San Diego Museum's 'En Plein Air'. She has served as an entry and awards juror and an instructor in both classroom and private venues, as well as a speaker for corporate and school groups. Her work hangs in corporate, university and private collections. FMV $2600.
