USS Colorado Henry Big Boy rifle.
It was Mr. Henry who conceived the first practical, lever action repeating rifle. Patented in 1860, the Henry gave a single man the firepower of a dozen marksmen armed with muzzle-loading muskets.

The Henry Big Boy is an AMERICAN MADE RIFLE. An advertisement from 1862 helped spread the word on "The most Effective Weapon in the World"

Back when the West was still wild and the rifle was the tool of choice for survival and frontier justice, the venerable .44-caliber put more meat on the table and outlaws in the ground than any other bullet. The West may have been tamed and fenced long ago, but its unbridled spirit lives on in this line of traditional big-bore Henry rifles.

The USS Colorado SSN-788 Commissioning Rifle is a limited edition (25 available) that is based on the Henry Big Boy Lever Action in 44 magnum caliber.

The Receiver Right Side is engraved with a representation of the Colorado underway, the stock is inlet with the Commissioning Committee Coin.

The Left Side Receiver is engraved with a representation of the ships coin and the Colorado underway.

The Stock is engraved with an etching of the three previous Colorado's and the reverse of the commissioning coin.

The Wrist and Forestock are engraved with Submarine Dolphins.
