ARCHITECTURE/ENGINEERING
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Over the course of the week, the student will be exposed to key elements of the design process from a variety of perspectives, including field surveys, client design meetings, architectural review, engineering (mechanical and electrical) review and overall project management. The student will shadow members of the Bancroft-AE design team in meetings and in the field interacting with clients and end-users (i.e. patients and scientists).
The internship is intended to give students with an interest in pursuing careers as architects and/or engineers the opportunity to immerse in the working environment of an active design firm. The objective is for students to have a better sense of the daily expectations of professionals in these fields, while encouraging them to pursue formal education as engineers and architects.
Some of our local sites may be a bit of a challenge for a person with disabilities. Those are challenges we embrace - as a disabled-veteran owned business, we have and always will have, persons with disabilities on our team and welcome students with disabilities.
