Casa Smith Porcospino Primitivo 2016
Vibrant, deep ruby colored wine is the 2016 Primitivo Porcospino Northridge Vineyard, which comes from the Northridge Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Black cherries, incense, brambly spice, and violet characteristics all emerge from this medium-bodied, creamy textured, seamless, gorgeously pure beauty that offers incredible pleasure and character.
Casa Smith ViNO Rose 2017 Columbia Valley, Washington
The medium gold/salmon colored 2017 ViNO Sangiovese Rosé offers a vibrant, strawberry and cherry-scented bouquet as well as a rounded, supple, nicely textured style. With both racy acidity and a fleshy, textured, salty style on the palate, it's a versatile rosé to drink over the coming 6-12 months.
2016 K Vintners Syrah Milbrandt
Dark red with ruby tones. Pungent aromas of cassis, blueberry, prosciutto, licorice, menthol, mint and minerals. Juicy and intense, conveying an exhilarating combination of sweetness and lively acidity to its red and darker berry and spice flavors. A savory element provides a further leavening influence. Finishes long, with firm but suave tannins. Lovely wine with real personality.
2014 K Vintners "Roma - River Rock Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Earth, floral, black tea, crushed rock, cocoa and black cherry. A wine distinct of character and sense of place that comes together in a fresh resounding harmony." One of my absolute favorites in the K Vintner's lineup for 2014 releases. Has a little more elegance and refinement than one might expect from a Charles Smith Walla Walla bottling. There is still tons of sweet fruit and exotic spice, the tannins are fine and silky and the wine has great aromatic lift. Super drinkable but with plentty of power and stuffing.
Sixto Frenchman Hills Chardonnay 2015
Chardonnay from Columbia Valley, Washington
One whiff of this amazing wine writes a poem of a beautiful high elevation Chardonnay. Meyer lemon curt, cool autumn sun & delicate summer blossoms abound on the palate as it continues on to a glorious finish. The 2015 Chardonnay Frenchman Hills Vineyard is very attractive, wafting from the glass with notes of buttered yellow orchard fruit, honeycomb, subtle spice and struck match. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, glossy and ample, with bright acids, lovely grip and tension and a chalky, flavorful finish. It's a very compelling Washington State Chardonnay.
