Dianna Cates Dunn was born in Utah and has been living for more than 20 years in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dunn is a painter who predominantly utilizes oil, acrylic, and mixed media. Starting her artistic career as a visual artist, Dianna had lengthy affairs with both music and theatre and worked as a theatre consultant and interior designer before pursuing a full-time painting career in 1999. In 2017 she published her first, award-winning book, "The Truths of Tula - A Muse and Her Artist". It contains 20 of the Tula paintings and celebrates women's contribution to the creative process.
