OUR OFP #GIVINGTUESDAY GOAL!
For over a decade, OFP has covered the expenses of every service dog team in our 48-week training program. Each service dog team costs $20,000 to fund. Below, we have broken out some of the program resources needed and a target goal for each. If we can use the power of community to reach each goal, we'll collectively provide the resources needed to welcome new teams into the program for the holidays and in the first quarter of 2022 when funding is challenging! When you give, you are not just brightening the lives of veterans and other individuals with disabilities this holiday season, you are turning on the light!

Your donation could go toward dog bowls. We are working with rescued dogs and caring for these four-legged heroes in training on an ongoing basis. This gift will definitely bowl them over!

Your donation could go toward new leather leashes for our rescued service dogs in training. Leather leashes are strong and help facilitate the bond between our clients and their service dogs. These leashes make it easier to detect and convey more subtle signals that are key to good communication. Will you take the lead on this donation?

Your donation could go toward microchipping and vaccinating our service dogs. Each dog in our program receives their vaccinations and is microchipped. Will you help champion their health and safety with us?

Your donation could be used to spay or neuter a service dog. The average lifespan of spayed and neutered dogs is considerably longer than the lifespan of dogs who are not. Will you help us set up our service dog teams for a long and happy life together?

Your donation could go towards our clients and their families enjoying a weekend stay at Tuolumne Trails for an Operation Freedom Paws group field trip. Your donation could be used for a service dog starter kit, which includes a crate, a bag of food, a vest, a training bag, service leads, food and water bowls, treats, and a brush. Every service dog team needs these valuable items. Are you up for outfitting our four-legged superheroes for success?

You donation could go towards the cost of a year of veterinary care for a service dog. We have an amazing veterinary team that works with OFP, but not everything can be donated. Health issues come up with our service dogs we can't anticipate, sometimes surgeries or costly treatments are needed. Our service dogs are highly trained and deeply loved lifelines for our clients. Will you help us to be there for them when they need us most?
Our Giving Tuesday Goal: the cost of one year of veterinary care for 25 service dogs.

This donation covers all the expenses of our 48-week training program: mentorship, mental health counseling that includes their families, their service dogs and their veterinarian care, dog supplies, food and gas cards, temporary housing when needed, a safe place to come 24/7, and a lifetime of community.
