WELCOME to our second NEMN Synod on-line quilt auction!

The Northeastern Minnesota (NEMN) Synod Quilt Auction takes place each year at the annual Synod Assembly gathering.  Our quilt team is a part of our synod's Hunger, Justice and Rural Life Team and our goal is to raise awareness and financial support to fight against the root causes of hunger, injustice and poverty.  ALL of the money raised during the auction is donated for that purpose to the ELCA Hunger Appeal. *

With the decision by the Synod Assembly Planning Committee to once again do an online gathering, our committee followed suit and set up our second online auction. While we hope to see you in person again in 2022, for now, we invite you to browse from your couch as you bid to support ELCA World Hunger.

What happens after the auction?

Payments - All winning bidders are able to do a self-checkout Sunday evening. Any remaining balances on Monday morning will be run on the supplied credit card for each winning bidder. A 5% surcharge has been included on each item to help cover shipping costs. If this surcharge is more than $15-$20, or the item is able to be hand delivered, an adjustment or refund can be made by the auction committee and auction site manager.

Receiving your item - We will be calling and/or emailing each quilter, quilting group, or marketplace donor with the name and contact info of the winning bidder for their creation. In some cases the bidder may be someone who lives in our synod and could pick up the quilt or marketplace item, in other cases we will ask you to ship it. Winning bidders and item donors will be put in contact with each other as needed to finalize delivery. Contact Amy Lokken with questions.
