How does this Teacher Grant Request donation thing work?
We are very excited to be able to share with you many of the Rural Colorado Teacher Grants we have received this year. We received 169 requests this year, and our goal is to fund as many as possible. But we need your help! Whether you are looking at the grant requests online (click on the View Items, or Teacher Grant Requests) or at the event (where there will be Butterflies at each table with information and images about the requests) we hope you will first and foremost get a better understanding of needs in rural Colorado schools AND why the Nathan Yip Foundation supports rural education.
We also hope you will donate in support of these grants. You can make a general contribution, or you can identify specific projects that you would like to support. Hopefully you will find requests that interest you and amounts that work for you. Please note that all donations made to specific projects are preferences, and while we hope to be able to honor your preference, your donation is not restricted to that grant.
Finally, as you browse these requests, if you know of resources/organizations/businesses/etc that the NYF could work with to help make the grant a reality, please reach out to [email protected]. We are working to create a Resources for Rural Colorado Educators webpage that will assist rural teachers in their work year-round.
We hope you find at least one town you did not know existed in Colorado as you read through these grants!
