An Arts & Crafts Evening

April 01, 2023 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Our first exclusive membership event for 2023 will be at the home of Ray Stubblebine and Ula Ilnytzky. An Arts and Crafts period interior has been re-created in the house to appropriately house their extensive collection of furniture, pottery and other items from the Arts and Crafts movement (ca. 1898 to 1920).

The Arts and Crafts period, which began in the U.K. in the 1880s and spread around the world at the turn of the century, was a reaction to the cluttered designs of the Victorian era and established the tenants of modern 20th-century design. Included will be a 20-minute illustrated talk on furniture maker and home tastemaker Gustav Stickley and the American Arts and Crafts movement, and a guided tour of the house and collection. A specialty cocktail, wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

April 1, 5pm to roughly 7. There is a limit of 20 attendees. Tickets are $50 each and all proceeds benefit Bay School programs.

This event is now sold out!
