About Community Thread
Community Thread's vital mission of connecting, enriching, and engaging is seen through Thrive - our membership-based program, as well as the Volunteer Center. Community Thread is able to provide essential human services to our community members.
Thrive, as a program, offers a variety of service and social benefits including wellness activities, excursions, transportation options, home services, and direct services across the Stillwater area (programming offered in Stillwater and Bayport). The goal of Thrive is to keep our neighbors socially connected while living independently in their homes.
The Volunteer Center provides volunteer-oriented programs to serve people of all ages. Families, individuals, employees, and students participate in our signature service initiatives, which occur multiple times a year. The Volunteer Center also connects interested volunteers with recurring volunteer opportunities requested by Thrive members. Lastly, The Volunteer Center engages local non-profit organizations to fulfill volunteer needs through the affiliate program.
At Community Thread, our mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and their families in our local community. Our vision is a community where all people are engaged, enriched, and connected.
Each year we receive over 13,000 visits from community members. These visitors attend programs and activities at our centers, volunteer, obtain free tax preparation assistance, and use our space for community meetings.
