In a 7th grade class called Connections, the class experimented with some American arts.

Specifically with this item, the students discovered how Esther Niesenthal Krinitz used embroidery to tell her story of growing up in Poland during the Holocaust and about how quilts were possibly used as secret codes on the Underground Railroad. After the 7th Grade Class mastered at least three kinds of stitches, they designed, embroidered, and sewed a Nichols quilt.

On the quilt, you will see the students love of skiing, Nichols sports, the arts, the Sabres, the Bills, and of course, the fro-yo machine. They hope someone treasures this quilt celebrating Nichols community and Nichols HEART as much as they did making it.
