About the Food

After years of anticipation, Longleaf Swine opened in Downtown Raleigh in the Fall of 2022. Chef and Co-Owner Marc Russell brings a chef's perspective to being a North Carolina pitmaster. He combines his Puerto Rican heritage, Texas influences, and a childhood immersed in Eastern Carolina to define Longleaf Swine's flavor. Think Brisket meets Esquites over a glass of sweet tea.

Named one of News & Observer's Best New Restaurants, Longleaf Swine evolves the traditional BBQ plate without abandoning its roots. The team at The Raleigh Wine Shop, the Triangle's award-winning wine shop featured in Food & Wine magazine as one of the top 25 wine destinations in the country, will act as your personal sommeliers for the evening. They will use their combined decades of experience in the food and wine industry to collaborate with Chef Russell to select wines that pair exquisitely with each course. And perhaps, with their guidance, they will lead you to a discovery of some new favorite wines.

About the Venue

After establishing themselves as the premier wine shop in downtown Raleigh for over a decade, The Raleigh Wine shop relocated in the Spring of 2022 to a new, expanded location in the 'Olde East' neighborhood in the heart of downtown. It now occupies a newly renovated mid-century modern building where The Raleigh Wine Shop has evolved into much more than just a wine shop. The new location features an expanded selection of hand-selected small production wines, a full tasting bar with a hand-cut charcuterie and artisanal cheese on offer, seating throughout the space as well as multiple unique spaces dedicated to hosting classes and events - both public and private. A true 'wine wonderland'.

You and your party will have the run of the shop including their patio, private event spaces and the 'Green Room' lounge, a cozy and intimate space within the shop that will be transformed for your party.
