Special Education Legal Fund is pleased to announce their 5th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 11 from 6:30pm-11pm at Burning Tree Country Club in Greenwich. The Anniversary Gala will honor the legacy of George H.W. Bush, 41st President of the United States, and Lowell Weicker, 85th Governor of the State of Connecticut, as S.E.L.F. Champions, for their tireless efforts on behalf of individuals with disabilities.
S.E.L.F. is introducing the President George H.W. Bush Advocacy Award, which will be awarded to two individuals for their advocacy on behalf of inclusion and access for disabled individuals in Fairfield County. Community activist Stephanie Cowie and Attorney Andrew Feinstein will be the recipients of the inaugural President George H.W. Bush Award.
Special Education Legal Fund levels the playing field for families in need with children in the special education system.
Since 2018, Special Education Legal Fund has provided nearly $800,000 in grants to families in Connecticut and New York whose children have slipped through the cracks of the special education system.
