Saxum Vineyards is focused on producing Grenache, Syrah, and Mataro based blends from the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. They let the rocky calcareous soils, steep hillsides, sunny days, and cooling ocean breezes speak through their wines by keeping their yields low, picking the fruit at the peak of ripeness, and using a minimalist approach in the cellar. They respect the land and farm everything sustainably without chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides.

The James Berry Vineyard cuvee is a red fruit-driven, Grenache-based blend, with a large portion of Mataro for texture, and Syrah as spicy support. 'The Hexe,' meaning to perform magic, is the dark side of Grenache. It is a multi-vineyard cuvee built around the most intense blocks of Grenache combined with Mataro and Petite Sirah. Rocket Block is a particular Grenache block of James Berry Vineyard that offers a little something for everyone. It is lifted with fresh aromatics of sage, spice, and fruit, along with deep textures, smooth tannins, and lively acids that harmonize well.
