Family Service of Glencoe (FSG) began in 1914 with neighbors supporting neighbors after a catastrophic house fire. Since then, FSG has responded to evolving community needs, particularly the mental health of those in Glencoe and the surrounding communities. Today the need for mental health services has become more necessary and sought after than ever before. FSG fills that need by providing critical mental health and crisis support, as well as various social services to those in need, regardless of ability to pay. As only one example, FSG responded immediately to and continues to support anyone affected directly or indirectly by the Highland Park shooting on July 4th, 2022 by providing critically needed trauma counseling and support.
