Celebrate Zoo babies this #GivingTuesday!

UPDATE: Generous friends of the Zoos have come together to match all gifts made to the Zoo Baby Shower before 11:59 p.m. November 30! Can you help us reach this goal and DOUBLE your impact for our animals today?

Join our Zoo Baby Shower and support critical animal care this Giving Tuesday. On this global day dedicated to giving back, charities, families, students, businesses, and caring individuals like you come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give to the causes they care about most.

This year we're asking you to focus your care on our zoo babies!

Since Franklin Park Zoo's baby boom in the Tropical Forest last year, we have had more exciting births to celebrate at both Zoos. At Franklin Park Zoo, Phoebe our red river hog piglet and Alika our female giraffe calf made their debuts to guests' delight. Stone Zoo welcomed little ones Taco the two-toed sloth and Ms. Stubbs the porcupette.

Your #GivingTuesday contribution of any size will help our littlest creatures in a big way. At Zoo New England, care is at the heart of everything we do, and we established the All for Our Animals Fund to provide critical daily care for the animals you know and love. Here are just a few examples of what your donation can help provide:

  • $25: Chew balls and sticks to promote our porcupette's dental health.
  • $50: One year's worth of carrots for Artemis, our red river hog mom - that's over 160 pounds!
  • $100: A 3-sided hammock for the sloth family rest in while on exhibit - in the wild sloths spend roughly 15 hours a day sleeping!
  • $250: A month of alfalfa hay and a heavy-duty broom to keep the giraffe stalls neat and tidy.
  • $500: Help provide veterinary exams for all our zoo babies with our animal care staff, including vaccines to get them off to a healthy start in life - healthy babies are happy babies!

Thank you for supporting critical animal care this #GivingTuesday!

Babies today, ambassadors for conservation tomorrow

These tiny creatures are small but mighty! As ambassadors, each of these animals plays a vital role in the survival of its species. For everyone who passes through our gates these babies become ambassadors of conservation and compassion. Through face-to-face connections, starting on day one, they can inspire a lifetime of commitment to the natural world.

Donations of $1,000 or more come with membership in our President's Circle and enjoy a host of benefits!
