Anna Boothe
Anna Boothe is a glass sculptor with 35 plus years of experience whose work is cast from lead crystal using the pate de verre glass casting technique. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, Racine Art Museum, and Tacoma Museum of Art, and has been shown internationally. In the recent past she's exhibited at Philadelphia's International Airport, the Philadelphia Art Alliance, Fuller Craft Museum, Albuquerque Museum of Art, Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, and in Vicenza, Italy with a major collaborative work scheduled for an upcoming exhibition at the Racine Art Museum. Numerous galleries throughout the United States represent her work.
Notably as a first-time exhibitor, she won Excellence in Glass and Best Display awards at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, American Craft Council (Baltimore) and Smithsonian Craft Shows. In 2021, her flacon Laurel Berry was awarded 1st Prize by the International Perfume Bottle Collectors' Association.
Anna holds degrees in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design and in Glass from Tyler School of Art where she taught for 16 years, after which she was invited to develop and chair Salem Community College's Glass Art Program in New Jersey. She is a past President of the Glass Art Society and former Director of Glass at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia. Currently, as a full-time artist, she creates her work and maintains her business Pate de Verity from her studio outside of Philadelphia.
