VIEW ITEMS HEREThe Salvation Army of Savannah (TSA) is hosting for the second straight year, the Ambassador's Ball!
For the safety and wellbeing of participants, this traditional fundraising event will follow last year's format, as an on-air telethon and variety show airing on WSAV-CW.
The virtual fundraiser will take place from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12 hosted by WSAV's Tina Tyus-Shaw, Ben Senger and Patty Turner. It will feature several entertainment acts, such as excerpts from 2021's Savannah VOICE Festival and their artists Scott Joiner and Jessica Fishenfeld performing "We Have A VOICE," an excerpt from Savannah Ballet Theatre's production of "The Nutcracker" for WSAV as well as excerpts from the Savannah Jazz Festival. Profiles of TSA volunteers, staff, and the range of people the organization helps everyday will be showcased.
Before the event, TSA will launch an online auction and throughout the fundraiser, viewers can bid on items or make monetary donations to support the organization's programs and services in the Coastal Empire. The fundraising goal for this year's Ambassador Ball is $50,000 to help support essential services of The Salvation Army such as adult rehabilitation, emergency disaster relief, emergency financial assistance, housing services, hunger relief, and youth care.
