23rd Annual ART PAPERS Art Auction

January 22, 2022     |     6pm - 10pm (EST)

Atlanta Contemporary, 535 Means St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Join us Saturday, January 22 for the return of the ART PAPERS Art Auction! This year's theme draws inspiration from Truman Capote's famous 1966 Black and White Masquerade Ball. So plan to wear black or white plus your favorite COVID mask because we're kicking off the new year with our very own "mask-erade" party.

We are actively monitoring the Omicron variant and are making every effort to ensure a safe and fun evening for all of us. We are taking the following COVID precautions:

  • Proof of full vaccination (two shots) is required for entry or a negative PCR test within 48 hours.
  • Face masks are required inside the building unless actively eating or drinking.
  • KN95 masks will be available for those in need.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
  • We will provide heaters so that people who wish to enjoy their refreshments outside may do so comfortably.
  • The venue has a newly installed air purifying HVAC system that uses bi-polar ionization technology, a type of air purification that uses voltage to generate electrically charged particles with extra electrons. These particles fall to the ground and become inert, eliminating their ability to cause harm. This technology works on viruses and bacteria in the air.

We will remain in active communication with all ticket holders to convey any changes or developments that arise. The safety and comfort of our guests is our highest priority.

General Admission Tickets + At Door Tickets

General Admission ticket sales will close at 5pm on Saturday, January 22. A limited number of At Door tickets will be available for purchase at $75/ticket.

Is My Artwork Purchase Tax Deductible?

Yes, but only the amount paid above the fair market value (FMV) of the artwork noted on your receipt can be considered a charitable donation, so bid up those artworks. It's for a worthy cause after all.

Do I Have to be Present to Bid/Win?
NO, you do not have to be present to win. That's one of the best things about mobile bidding, you can bid from anywhere. You will be notified via text message if you are the winning bidder and your credit card on file will be charged.

How do I Check Out?

If you are the winning bidder of artwork(s), you will receive a text directing you to "Self Checkout." Please follow the directions. You can also select the PAY button. For a video tutorial click HERE.

If you need help checking out, we will have staff available to assist you.

How Do I Get My Work?

  • Once paid for, you are allowed to take your artwork home with you after bidding closes at 10pm.  You will be asked to show proof of purchase prior to exiting the venue. We only recommend this for works that are easily transportable. For 3-D objects, fragile works, and oversized artwork, we recommend returning to the venue on Sunday during artwork pick-up hours.
  • Artworks will be available for pick-up @ Atlanta Contemporary on Sunday, January 23 between noon and 5:30pm. GER-ART will be onsite to assist with wrapping your artwork.
  • Should you need assistance with the delivery and/or installation of your artwork, GER-ART can assist you with those arrangements. Delivery and installation services may require an additional fee to be negotiated directly with GER-ART.
  • If you live outside the Atlanta area and your work requires shipping, Art Papers staff will contact you the week of January 24 to discuss shipping options and arrangements. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for the packing and shipping of artwork. The cost of shipping work is not included in the sale price and will be billed separately.
