About the Item

This filigree pendant, made of fine and sterling silver, is inspired by the beautiful patterns found in nature. The see-through quality of the filigree gives a feeling of the subtle decay of the leaf as time passes.

3" x 2" x 0.25"

About the Artist

Andrea Terry is a sculptural jewelry artist living and working in Liberty Hill, Texas, USA. Her initiation into jewelry making started at Austin Community College, where she obtained several certificates. Ever hungry to learn as many techniques as possible, she took as many master classes as possible, learning about filigree, chasing and repousse, enameling and fold forming. For the last few years, she has built a more formal studio practice, attending fine art shows and entering competitions. She has won awards of excellence from several fine art shows around the country, as well as participating as a juror for the San Antonio Fine Arts Show. She was a finalist in the silver category in the 2019 Saul Bell Award, a prestigious international jewelry competition, with her filigree necklace "An Elegant Disintegration". She was accepted into the Grit to Gold Exhibition for the 2020 Society of North American Goldsmiths exhibition.
