The Rainbow Connection (TRC) in partnership with the Detroit Wine Organization (DWO) is proud to bring you Detroit Uncorked 2021!
We are returning to Jimmy John's Field on Friday, September 17th, 2021 for an evening of fine wine, delicious food from the top eateries in town, and live entertainment under the stars! Individuals in attendance will enjoy a strolling event where they will pair over 200 select wines with food from local restaurants while enjoying firsthand this beautiful ballpark from a totally different perspective.
The popular wine wall raffle will be at the ballpark! For only $10, pull a mystery bottle of wine from the wine wall that is valued at $10 or more!
Browse, Bid and Buy on a wonderful selection of silent auction items featuring wine, liquor, and experiences! Silent auction will open the week before the event and end on Friday, September 17th, 2021 during the event. Even if you are unable to attend the event, you can bid from your phone!
About Detroit Wine Organization
The DWO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in 2002. Our mission is to promote the education and enjoyment of wine, and the great wines and wine experts in our local market, while benefiting other local charities. In fact, since 2002, the DWO has raised more than $1,700,000 for metro Detroit charities. We accomplish our mission by hosting events that are both educational and fun.
Our ever-growing membership base -currently 4,000 strong -is comprised of people of all ages and from all walks of life, whose wine experience ranges from those with very little experience to others with vast knowledge. What they share is a desire to explore the joys of wine while meeting others with similar interests.
Our charity partners are locally based organizations that our members believe in and support.
Our sponsors range from local wine distributors and suppliers to local businesses big and small who believe in the mission.
About The Rainbow Connection
The Rainbow Connection (TRC) was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 1985. Our mission -granting wishes to Michigan children battling life-threatening medical conditions.
A wish helps to strengthen and empower children in battling their illness by enriching the human experience with hope, anticipation, and joy. A wish allows a child the ability to look past their condition and gives precious time with family to create memories they can all treasure. Since 1985, they have granted an average of 150 wishes each year and over 3800 wishes since their inception.
Over 86% of every dollar donated goes directly to programs and services for children with life-threatening illnesses.
