Nearly 700 community & business leaders attend the On the Move Luncheon in Seattle to support individuals and families affected by multiple sclerosis in our community.

Join us as we honor Veterans who live with MS and learn about the Society's global effort to cure MS.  This is an ideal opportunity to invite friends, family and colleagues who want to learn more about MS and the ways that the National MS Society educates and empowers those affected by MS.

In 2019 the National MS Society signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Veteran's Affairs, MS Centers of Excellence, to improve care & expand resources for veterans living with multiple sclerosis and their families.

The Society's global research strategy- Pathways to Cures.  The MS movement has achieved more breakthroughs than the world has seen for any other neurological disease-and we're not done yet.  We have the right priorities, partners, process, and track record to deliver the next generation of breakthroughs. The only question is how fast we can move.  With your vital support, we will continue to pursue the most promising pathways to a cure and seize the breakthroughs just beyond our reach today.

Keynote

Bruce F. Bebo, Jr., Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Research
National MS Society

Dr. Bruce Bebo is the Executive Vice President of Research at the National MS Society. His responsibilities include leading the Society's global research strategy focused on achieving breakthroughs for people affected by MS. Bruce is a member of the Society's Senior Leadership Team, serves on the Scientific Steering Committee of the International Progressive MS Alliance, and the Programmatic Panel for the MS Program at the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. Bruce brings 30 years of experience in MS research in academic, industry and non-profit organizations. He was inspired to join the MS movement by his mother who lived with progressive MS.

We are excited to have Taryn Daly from KISW join us this year!

Taryn Daly hosts weeknights on The Rock of Seattle 99.9 KISW from 6pm-10pm and also serves as the Assistant Brand Manager for the station. When she's not on the air or scheduling a day's music, she oversees social media for all of Audacy's Rock and Classic Rock stations across the country. Taryn became involved with the National MS Society in honor of her mother, Rosalie, who has been living with Multiple Sclerosis for more than a decade. Whether it's Bike MS, Walk MS or emceeing Society events, Taryn is deeply passionate about raising funds and awareness for the cause. She and her husband Brad have a busy 2-year-old son named Barrett, and they live on 5 acres in Stanwood with dogs, chickens, goats, barn cats and plenty of farm chores to go around!

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

We are excited to celebrate with you safely at the Seattle On the Move Luncheon on November 11, 2021. We've planned every detail of this event with the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, and staff as our highest priority. Safety protocols are in place that follow current guidance from the CDC, as well as state, city and other local agencies. 

Effective October 25th, King County will implement an order that will require people attending recreational activities in most public places to show proof that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or a negative test.  Luncheon guests must meet these requirements in order to attend. Please carefully review the information below to ensure you are prepared to meet these requirements. We look forward to seeing you on November 11th!!

You are considered fully vaccinated: Two weeks after your second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna vaccines) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine).

What counts as proof of vaccination?

• Your vaccination card, a digital vaccine record, or a legible photograph
• And your photo ID

If you are unvaccinated, here's what counts as proof of a negative COVID-19 test:

• An email (on your phone or printed out) that clearly shows

     - Your name
     - The date of the test is within 72 hours prior to your visit
     - A negative result

• And your photo ID

In additional to the above we will require mandatory face coverings, regardless of vaccination status, reduced touchpoints to minimize physical interactions, and adhering to 50% capacity limits of the venue. Please note that plans may be altered as the event day approaches to ensure your safety.
