The Great Gatsby Gala transports our guests back to the roaring 20's for a one-of-a-kind experience to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This year we aim to raise over $270,000 in support of critical research and services that improve the lives of our friends and neighbors living with or impacted by MS. Since 1988, the Great Gatsby Gala has raised nearly $2 Million dollars to support our mission of curing MS while empowering people affected by MS to live their best lives.

Whether you have a personal or business connection to our mission or are looking for a unique experience for your family and friends, we invite you to join us for the excitement! Our restaurant partners, silent and live auctions, raffle and festive guests make the Great Gatsby Gala a night to remember. We recognize this past year has been unlike any other and can't wait to see our healthcare partners, dedicated support group leaders, MS activists, Trustees, sponsors, and donors together again, and are excited to celebrate with you safely at this year's Gala! We are excited to celebrate with you safely at the 33rd annual Great Gatsby Gala at Truist Field on August 14, 2021. We've planned every detail of this event with the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, and staff as our highest priority. Safety protocols are in place that follow current guidance from the CDC, as well as state, city and other local agencies. This includes mandatory face coverings, regardless of vaccination status, reduced touchpoints to minimize physical interactions, and adhering to capacity limits of the venue. Please note that plans may be altered as the event day approaches to ensure your safety.

After several years as an event attendee, Owen served on the Committee for the 2020 Great Gatsby Gala. His passion for the MS community was quickly evidenced by his commitment to our goals, and when the decision was made to switch the Gala to a virtual format, Owen went above and beyond to ensure a successful event. We are excited for Owen's continued support of our Mission as this year's Committee Chair!

Owen is Assistant General Counsel in the Private Debt Group at Barings, supporting the private finance, private placement and infrastructure finance platforms. Previously a partner at Winston & Strawn's Charlotte office, his practice focused on corporate lending and other corporate finance transactions. A North Carolina native, Owen attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Georgetown University Law Center.
