Lance Letscher is a contemporary American collage artist. Known for his meticulously constructed compositions, he sources material from a range of antique papers, discarded notebooks, magazines, and record covers. Born in 1962 in Austin, TX, he went on to receive both his BFA and MFA from the University of Texas, later apprenticing with Amado Pena. His works are in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Austin Museum of Art, and the Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, among others, and has been the subject of solo exhibitions at such institutions as the Tyler Museum of Art, McNay Art Museum, and the Amarillo Museum of Art. Letscher lives and works in Austin, TX.
