Since 2005, Ripple: The Center for Education and Ecosystem Studies (formerly known as the Clark Fork Watershed Education Program) has been transforming the way students and communities connect with their local environments. Through dynamic student programs, teacher professional development, and public outreach, we empower people with the knowledge and tools to understand, protect, and improve the places they call home.
At the heart of Ripple is a simple yet powerful mission: to inspire the next generation of conservationists, change-makers, and problem-solvers through hands-on, place-based experiential learning. By connecting young minds to the beauty and complexity of Montana's landscapes, we are planting the seeds for a sustainable future.
In 2025, Ripple is embarking on a bold new journey with the launch of the EcosySTEM Project, a groundbreaking initiative that brings scientists into the classroom and provides authentic research experiences for students. This exciting expansion will take us across the Continental Divide and into the Yellowstone Watershed, amplifying our impact and reaching even more students, educators, and communities.
